This year during all the wild shenanigans that make up the 30th Annual Ballard Seafood Fest, we're doing something a little different.  We've unearthed the voluminous trove of children's book posters we've been assiduously collecting since 1995 . . . and we're offering them up for sale on a pay-what-you-like basis as a benefit for our friends at Page Ahead.  Come sort through our collection, take what you like, and pay the amount you'd like to directly benefit the fine work the Page Ahead folks are doing.  (As a suggestion, $6.96 buys one paperback picture book for the kids Page Ahead buys books for!) Some posters may be torn or new, some there will be many copies of and some will be one-of-a-kind.  Come sort through our treasure trove and maybe find a hidden gem! It's for a wonderful cause!

We'll roll out the posters at 4 PM on Friday the 9th, and have them available to peruse from 10-7 on Saturday the 10th and from 12-5 on Sunday the 11th.  Or until they last!  Page Ahead volunteers will be here to answer your questions and to motivate you to be generous!

Come take home your favorite kid-lit art, and support a great cause.

TEEN. BOOK. CLUB.

 Calling all the bookish youth!

 Teen. Book. Club.

We have found the most wonderful and amazing teen-lit-world insider ever to lead our brand-new every-last-Wednesday-of-the-month group now forming.  She is Liz Gallager and you can read all about her amazingly hooked-up and authorial self here. There will be yummy PIZZA provided by Ballard's own Snoose Junction Pizzeria. There will be sneak-peek book GIVEAWAYS for everyone!

If you are or have or know a teen as excited as we are about this, pass this info on!:

Our book for our next meeting: 25 August 6:30 - 8 PM is:
