Start: 7:00 pm
We've known Martha for awhile now. We're big fans of her last book for adults, Things That Make Us Sic. We know she's got a few picture book projects upcoming, and we're excited about those as well.
Devine Intervention is her debut Young Adult title. It's already received a starred review from Kirkus, and we cannot wait to see the array of other kudos it'll collect! Its' launch is what we're celebrating this evening. Feathers will fly!
Our friend
Martha graduated from Stanford University with degrees in
classics and English. At various times, she has worked as a high school
teacher, a journalist, and a Web producer. Her blog is here. It's pretty awesome. She also writes an educational humor column for the
on-line encyclopedia Encarta. Martha lives in Seattle with her husband,
Adam Berliant; daughter, Lucy; dog, Misty; and cats, Spot and Lily.
