Antioch University 2021 Multicultural Children's Literature Celebration

2021 Multicultural Children's Literature Celebration
FREE Live event, Open to Seattle Schools and the General Public

The Multicultural Children’s Literature Celebration annual event is offered through the Antioch University Seattle School of Education whose Social Justice Initiative brings young readers and renowned authors and illustrators together to enrich their lives through celebration of the power of story, to ensure ALL children are honored.

This year’s Celebration is 100% online! This allows schools and families to join us from anywhere in celebration of these amazing multi-award winning artists.

Beginning at 9:00 a.m. PT (12 p.m. ET), April 19, we will feature one artist per hour. Authors and illustrators will discuss their newest books and engage the children and families in fun activities!

Register here.

This free author event is 100% supported by book sales. Antioch Seattle has partnered with an independent publisher (Lerner) and a Seattle independent bookseller (Secret Garden Books) to bring this festival to the community. Your purchases support our artists whose lives have been greatly impacted this year by pandemic closures.

Support these artists and independent organizations by ordering each featured book, by clicking the links below. Just as in previous years, Antioch Seattle pledges that proceeds from this event will go toward purchasing books for local under-resourced school libraries. Your purchase supports this community effort.
