Indies First Saturday - Special Guest Booksellers!

IndieBound

ShermanBags

We are proud members of the American Booksellers Association every day of the year.  Last year the association, and all our bookstore friends in it, did something extra exciting.

It seems our friends over at Queen Anne Avenue Books had an "incident" with beloved author Sherman Alexie the previous year, and if you click on this: Sherman Alexie's letter to booksellers you'll see how that one little author/indie bookseller incident turned into an awesome annual event for all the independent shops across the land!

Last year was the first annual, and we hosted Sherman Alexie (posing with all of the bags the bookstores he visited that day gave him), as well as Peter Brown, Bonny Becker, and a bunch of other local luminary authors.

This year we're super excited to be hosting a new batch of authors. They'll be acting as booksellers on the day - complete with their own list of favorite books that they wait all year to have a chance to recommend! Here are our special author / illustrator guests, in no particular order:

Janet Lee Carey

Jaime Temairik

Elizabeth Rose Stanton

Toni Yuli

Dana Sullivan

Kim Baker

Julie Paschkis

Kira Brady

Kevin Emerson

Bonny Becker

Linda Johns

Laurie Thompson

Margot Page

They'll be signing all their own books (only the tip of the iceberg of which are listed below), so feel free to ask them for a signature while they're here. But even more exciting, perhaps, is they'll also be making custom recommendations for all your reading needs (and all the people on your reading list!)

We couldn't be more proud to host the best volunteer booksellers on the planet!

Thank you!
